Submit to Studio DIY

Studio DIY® is always on the look out for innovative do-it-yourself projects, delicious party-friendly recipes, creative styled shoots and beautifully handcrafted weddings and events! If you have a project, photo shoot or event you’d like to submit, please review the information below. I look forward to being inspired!

Real DIY Weddings

In order to be considered for publication on Studio DIY, weddings must include do-it-yourself and/or handmade elements. Please note I do not require submissions to be exclusive, however please let me know if the wedding has previously been published.

To submit a wedding, please send 30-50 photos (72 dpi and at least 600px wide) that tell the story of the wedding, including the ceremony, reception, portraits and of course lots of handmade details, to submissions{at}studiodiy{dot}com along with the following information:

The date and location of the wedding
The bride & groom’s name and email address
A list of all participating vendors, including all handmade or Etsy vendors
A list of DIY projects that were included in the wedding
A paragraph about any interesting stories or details surrounding the day

Real DIY Events

Studio DIY accepts all kinds of handmade events including, but not limited to, baby showers, bridal showers, children and adult birthday parties and holiday parties. In order to be considered for publication on Studio DIY, all events must include do-it-yourself and/or handmade elements. Please note I do not require submissions to be exclusive, however please let me know if the event  has previously been published.

To submit an event, please send 20-50 photos (72 dpi and at least 600px wide) that tell the story of the party, including the decor, food, paper goods, entertainment and of course lots of handmade details, to submissions{at}studiodiy{dot}com along with the following information:

The type of party and theme, if there is one
The date and location of the event
The event host and/or guest of honor’s name
A list of all participating vendors, including all handmade or Etsy vendors
A list of DIY projects that were included in the event
A paragraph about any interesting stories or details surrounding the event

Styled Shoots

Studio DIY also features inspirational photo shoots that include handmade and DIY elements. Please note I do not require submissions to be exclusive, however please let me know if the event  has previously been published.

To submit a photo shoot, please send 20-50 photos (72 dpi and at least 600px wide) that including all elements of the photo shoot, with an emphasis on the DIY projects used to submissions{at}studiodiy{dot}com along with the following information:

The type of party and theme, if there is one
A list of all participating vendors, including all handmade or Etsy vendors
A list of DIY projects that were included in the shoot
A paragraph about the idea and inspiration behind the photo shoot and any interesting details that make it unique

DIY Projects

In addition to featuring in-house DIY projects, I love to feature project ideas from others! If you have a craft project that is event-appropriate, please send 10-30 professional-quality photos (72 dpi and at least 600px wide) of the supplies and steps used to complete the project and images of the final product to submissions{at}studiodiy{dot}com along with the following information:

A comprehensive list of supplies used and where they were, or can be, purchased
A detailed tutorial that includes all steps and instructions
Photography credit information if the photos were taken by someone other than yourself

Recipes

Events are the perfect excuse to indulge in delicious treats, and I love to share recipes meant for entertaining! If you have a delictable recipe to share for a party-friendly dish, drink or dessert please send 5-15 professional-quality photos (72 dpi and at least 600px wide) of the finished dessert as well as steps to create it, if applicable, to submissions{at}studiodiy{dot}com along with the following information:

A comprehensive ingredient and supply list, and where any uncommon ingredients can be purchased
Detailed instructions for replicating the recipe
Photography credit information if the photos were taken by someone other than yourself
Credit information for any recipes from which yours was adapted (if applicable)
